Coating options allow you to control the type of finish you have with the end product. If you'd like to have your design finished with a gloss, matte, or dry-erase coating on your board.

Rounded Corners

Below is the radius of the automated rounded corner options we currently offer for foam boards at this time. If you need a more dramatic or specific rounded corner, you can select the "special cut" option and include a Dieline/ cut path in your art file. Our CNC machine will run the cut path in your artwork to achieve what ever round corners you've dreamed up. Here are the instructions on how to prepare a cut file.

Drill holes have exterior dimensions of .25" and are placed .75" away from the edge of the location selected. Our standard drill hole placement options are listed below:

Grommet Placement

Grommets on foam core board are great if you want to hang the board from hooks or rope. The grommet goes through the board and adds support to hang on a wall or fencing. The grommet size is #2 ⅜," the interior dimensions are .36" and the grommets' exterior dimensions are .84". When you select grommets, they will be placed .75" on center from each corner of the board.

You guys are awesome! The check out experience was a little weird because I received an email shortly after ordering. The email asked me to upload the files. Given that I'm a blonde (and as such can make fun of myself), I was confused by the email. However, your customer support staff assured me you had all the files.

They’re made out of a paper-faced foam comprised of extruded polystyrene foam with bright white clay-coated kraft paper. The board comes in either 3/16" or 1/2". If you need thicker foam for your project, you can contact one of our expert customer service representatives and make your request. These boards are strong while displaying color graphics in brilliant detail.

How Do I Display Custom Foam Boards?

Foam board posters can stand upright and be used on tabletops, as point-of-sale displays, or even as a display sign with a simple white easel. Here are all the ways to display your signage:

Can I Get Double-Sided Foam Board Printing?

Yes, Printmoz offers double-sided printing for foam boards if you want your display to be seen from multiple angles, such as when hanging from a ceiling or placed in the center of a table or room. Just choose the double-sided option when selecting spcs, and we’ll print your artwork on both sides of the board using the same high-quality UV printing process.

Am I Able to Write on These Custom Foam Boards?

We recommend selecting the dry-erase coating during customization if you want to be able to write on these custom foam boards. This finish turns your board into a reusable writing surface for presentations, donation checks, or scheduling boards. Only dry-erase markers should be used to preserve the integrity of the coating.

Are Custom Sizes and Shapes Available for Foam Board Printing?

We can print in any custom size and cut to almost any shape. Choose circles, ovals, or rectangles with rounded corners. Or select “special cut” if you need something more specific. Just include a cut path or dieline with your file upload for our CNC machine to follow.

Are Custom Foam Boards a Good Choice for Outdoor Signage?

Foam boards are designed for indoor use only. The paper-faced foam core is not weatherproof and can warp or degrade in outdoor environments. We do have many custom outdoor signs, though, like our custom yard signs which are custom PVC signs.

How Do I Add Grommets or Holes When Printing on Foam Boards?

We make adding grommets to your signs a breeze with the click of a button. You can order any custom printed foam board and add a center grommet, top corners, or top center grommets. Top center grommets are great to mount from posts, whereas corners grommets allow for a more even display sign for wall mounting. If your signs are cut into a specific shape, center top grommets may be the best option as your design is most likely not symmetrical.

How Are Size Options Laid Out for Foam Board Printing (L x W or W x L)?

Foam board dimensions are listed in width x height format. So a 24” x 36” board would be 24 inches wide and 36 inches tall. If you’re working with a horizontal layout (like a menu or table sign), that would be 36” x 24”. You can enter your dimensions in any orientation during setup and rotate your design as needed using our online tool.

That said, a matte finish has its place if you’re aiming for a softer or non-reflective look (like signage to be placed near strong lighting).
