How do I make a Removable Sticker?
First choose the size of the Removable Sticker and select any finishing options (round corners or special cuts). Then design your artwork to fit the exact size of your sticker. You can use a free online design tool to create your design. It comes with thousands of free stock images and hundreds of free templates to help you get started.
Can I make custom shapes with Removable Stickers?
Yes your Removable Sticker can be cut into custom letters and shapes, depending on which cut you choose. When it comes to Removable Stickers, we have four different ‘cuts’; Halo, Circle, Oval and Special. If you’d like to cut out an individual letter or unique shape, you just need to set up your artwork with a ‘cut line’ so the software can tell the printers where to cut the material. How do I upload my artwork?
If you already have your artwork sized exactly to your Removable Sticker you can complete your purchase. Once checkout is complete you can upload your artwork and then view and approve the proof. If you need to finish designing your artwork you can still complete your purchase and come back later to upload your artwork file. A second way to upload your artwork is to design it using the free online Design Tool. Once you complete the design you can add it to your cart and complete your purchase. How long does a Removable Sticker last outdoors?
Depending on adverse weather conditions and with proper care Removable Stickers can last for a long time.
How do I clean my Removable Stickers?
Cleaning is easy with some warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. The Removable Stickers are durable but be gentle when cleaning so you don’t scratch the ink.
Is there an extra charge for more colors on a sticker?
Full color is always included with your purchase. Printing is done using UV protected ink in four colors: CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black).
Are wall decals the same as wall stickers?
While people use these terms interchangeably, they’re different. Stickers have stronger adhesive and leave behind residue when removed. Wall decals, on the other hand, remove seamlessly - and in some cases, even be repositioned. The low-tack adhesive we use makes our removable decals a better option for temporary use on walls.
What are the minimum and maximum sizes for wall decals?
We can print removable wall decals in a wide range of sizes, from small 3”x3” squares to oversized prints up to 52” wide and nearly 150 feet long. Whether you need a single custom logo or a full-wall design, we’ve got the printing capabilities to bring your vision to life.
Are there standard sizes of wall decals?
There’s no “industry standard,” but popular sizes include 12"x12", 24"x12", 2'x2', and 3'x5'. Most of our customers choose a fully custom size to match their wall space or project needs. You pick the dimensions, we make it happen.
What’s the default color of the material?
Our removable decal material has a white base by default. Your design is printed on top of this surface using rich, full-color UV inks. The material remains white and opaque where nothing is printed.
Are your wall decals non-toxic?
Yes. The adhesive is water-based and solvent-free. Don’t let kids or pets chew or handle decals, but they’re safe for use in nurseries, schools, offices, and homes.
Can I write on the decals with markers or dry erase pens?
We don’t recommend writing on removable wall decals as dry erase markers may leave behind ghosting or permanent stains, and the surface isn’t designed to be wiped clean like a whiteboard.
Do your decals have a laminate coating?
No laminate is needed. We print directly onto the vinyl using durable, fade-resistant, and scratch-resistant UV-cured inks - all without needing a plastic film on top.
What surfaces can I apply wall decals to?
Removable wall decals work best on smooth, non-porous indoor surfaces like painted drywall, glass, plastic, sealed wood, and metal. Textured walls like brick, stucco, or fabric aren’t ideal. The adhesive may not grip well.
Can I apply removable decals over wallpaper?
While it’s possible to put decals on smooth wallpaper, removing them later could damage or peel the wallpaper. Always test a small area first if you’re unsure.
Will your decals work on any type of paint?
They stick best to matte or satin latex paints. Very glossy or heavily textured paints (or paints with additives) may mess with the adhesive. Test a small decal first if your wall has a slick finish.
Can I apply decals to freshly painted walls?
Not yet! Let new paint cure fully before applying any decals, generally 2 to 3 weeks. Applying too soon can prevent proper adhesion or damage the paint during removal.
Can I remove and reuse your wall decals?
Our removable decals are designed for short-term use and can sometimes be reused, especially if you reapply them to the original backing for storage. However, the more you reposition them, the less tacky they’ll become over time.
What is the expected lifespan of your wall decals?
Printmoz’s custom removable wall decals can last up to several years with proper indoor use. It depends on the surface, environment, and how often they’re moved.
What are some common uses for wall decals?
Office branding, retail promotions, trade shows, classroom decor, and home projects like kids' rooms or accent walls. They’re a great way to make an impact without permanent changes.
Do environmental conditions matter for decal use?
Yes. Temperature and humidity matter. Decals perform best in cool, dry, indoor environments. Avoid applying them in bathrooms, near steam, or in unconditioned rooms with high humidity.
Do I need more than one person to install a wall decal?
Smaller decals can be applied by a single person, but larger designs are easier to install with two people because you can work together to prevent the material from folding over on itself or stretching during application.
